ご無沙汰！年１回のＤＭ患者！

　昨日”年１回受診のＤＭ患者”が受診した。カルテをみると昨年も同じ頃に風邪症状で受診していた。風邪症候群の問診・診察はそこそこで終了し、ＤＭ治療の必要性・重要性を２０分ほど説明。「本人は解（わ）かりました。すいません！」と３度程言ったが、「まだまだ通じていないのかな～？」と半信半疑であった。この患者は5年ほど前からＤＭ（中等度）であり、一時期３ヶ月程治療継続した記録はあるが、ここ数年では年１回しか受診・治療してくれない。”彦星”君みたいな患者である！？当院は”天の川”では無いし、ましてや自分は”乙姫”でも無いのだから「お願いです！年２回は逢ってください！糖尿病による心筋梗塞は待ってくれませんヨ！」・・・。つくずくＤＭ患者の病識の低さ・恐怖感の無さにはビックリするばかりである。一般内科医として、どうしようもない無力を感じるであります（トホホ）。”口下手”の性でもありましょうか！？
