変人！？殿様（蛙）大好き！

殿様蛙　自分は蛙（カエル）が大好きである！？ワイフにとっては「気持ち悪い～！」と言う事になるらしいが・・・。当時は仙台市泉区南中山に自宅があり、庭付きの一戸建てに子供と妻の３人で暮らしていた。庭には芝が張られていて３０ヤード程のアプローチが可能であった。夜になると”モサモサ”と庭の主（ぬし）が姿を現す。ヒキガエルである。かなり大きな親分ガエルから赤ちゃんカエルまで居住しており、ざっと確認できただけで７匹は居った。夏場には夕食を済ませ、８時頃になるとおもむろに玄関のドアーを開け、暗い庭に出るのが自分の日課であった。その目的は言わずと知れたヒキガエル一家との御対面である。１時間程で用事を済ますとお別れの挨拶をして御開きとなる。子供も最初は興味を示していたが、今では見向きもしない。ワイフも大嫌いのようで絶対に近寄らない。何故？マニヤックになるまで、こんなに好きなったのだろうと考えてみると、忘れもしない小学校１年生の時を思い出す。その学校の西側に立派な池があり、天気のいい日にはその池の蓮の上に立派な殿様（蛙）がいつも構えて居った。子供ながらにその堂々とした風貌に感心して、「立派だなあ～！」と思った。「その殿様をどうやって捕まえようか？」と常日頃思い悩み、試行錯誤の末、やっとの事で捕まえた時の”ズシン”とした感触が今も鮮明に手に残っている。やっぱり！”蛙は殿様ガエル”である！
