ジェノミディアのHVJ-EがNEDOの助成事業に採択

長いタイトルですが、アンジェスの関連会社ジェノミディアの開発しているＨＶＪ－Ｅ（エンベロープ）がＮＥＤＯの助成事業に採択されました。

詳細は、下記のプレスを見ていただきたいのですが、要点はＨＶＪ－Ｅの持つ免疫力を向上させる力を利用して抗がん剤を開発しようというものです。

ＨＶＪ－Ｅは、ジェノミディアが開発したジャパン・オリジナルのＤＤＳですが、免疫誘導力があることがわかってきました。理想的な抗がん剤になる可能性が出てきました。まだまだ、臨床での効果はこれからですが、楽しみです。

子会社ジェノミディアの開発プロジェクトがNEDOの助成事業に採択

－HVJ-Eベクターを用いたがん治療薬を開発へ－

 

独立行政法人新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構（以下、NEDO）は、イノベーションの連続的な創出を促進することを目的として、平成19 年度「イノベーション実用化助成事業（研究開発型ベンチャー技術開発助成事業）」の研究テーマを公募しておりましたが、この度、当社子会社のジェノミディア株式会社（以下、ジェノミディア）が提案しておりましたHVJエンベロープベクター（以下、HVJ-Eベクター）を利用したがん免疫療法剤の開発プロジェクトが、同助成事業の対象として採択されましたのでお知らせいたします。

 

がん(悪性新生物)は、日本人の死因の第一位であり、その死亡者数は年間32.5万人（2005年、厚生労働省・人口動態調査）となっております。また、世界におけるがんの死亡者数は年間760万人と報告されております（2005年、WHO調査）。しかしながら、悪性度の高いがんの症例に関しては、未だ有効性の高い治療法がなく、新しい治療薬の開発ニーズが高いとされている疾患領域です。特に、がんに対する免疫療法剤の開発は、化学療法、放射線療法、ホルモン療法、外科的切除に次ぐ、新しい治療技術の創出に繋がることから注目されています。

 

HVJ-Eベクターは、先端バイオ医薬用のドラッグデリバリーシステムとしてジェノミディアが開発を進めております。これまでに実施した動物試験で、HVJ-Eベクターが、ユニークなメカニズムによりがんに対する免疫（抵抗力）を活性化して、治療効果を示すことが明らかになってきたため、この度、同治療薬開発プロジェクトがNEDO の助成事業の対象として採択されました。

 

ジェノミディアは、今回のNEDO 助成事業への採択により、がんの治療薬開発に必要な研究開発費として、原則として平成20年度末までその開発費用の3 分の2 に相当する助成金を受取ることができます。平成19 年度については年間7,850万円の助成金を予定しており、HVJ-Eベクターを利用したがん治療薬開発プロジェクトの前臨床試験データの取得を進めるうえで、資金面からのサポートを受けることができます。

 

ジェノミディアは、このNEDOからの支援を受けて、HVJ-Eベクターを利用したがん治療薬の臨床開発に必要となる前臨床試験データの取得を推進する予定で、開発パイプラインのステージアップを図ってまいります。
