祝YIA受賞！

本日循環器学会のYIA（若手優秀研究者賞）の発表がありました。私どものところからは、中神先生が受賞いたしました（写真は、受賞光景です）。

私も、１０年以上前に遺伝子治療の仕事で頂きましたが、若手の登竜門です（時間が経つのは早いですね）。それから、やっとHGFもまもなくというところにこぎつけましたが、時間がかかりました。

彼の発表は、AG30という新しい血管新生ペプチドを発見した内容です。AG３０は、血管新生作用だけでなく、抗菌作用ももち、やけどのような創傷治癒に期待されており、今後医薬品として可能かどうかを検討していくことになります。

このAG３０は、阪大とアンジェスの子会社のジェノミディアの共同研究で発見された新しい物質で、うまくいけばジェノミディアの大きなお手柄というところです。まだまだシーズの段階ですが、大きく育つような予感がしています(結構私の感は良いと思っています）。これから１０年で薬になるかどうか？見守ってください。
