知財学会

知財学会というのを、ご存知ですか？

実は、既に第４回学術総会まで行っています。あまり医療に関係ないので、何人医者が参加しているのかは、わかりませんが、日本の将来ということでは重要な学会です。

私は、今回社団法人に衣替えをするということで、今回から理事になっているのですが、正直始めて学会にシンポジストで呼ばれるまで、学会の存在もしりませんでしたし、学会にあいそうもない分野だなあというのが、正直な感想でした。

まず、知財を説明する必要がありますよね。知財＝知的財産です。平たく言えば、特許ということになりますが、単に特許だけでなく、無形有名の（例えば、医者のノウハウ技術も将来はあてはまるかもしれません）の技術なども対象になります。あるいは、最近流行の地域おこしの地域ブランド（関サバなども入ります）なども対象です。

こうした知財の保護・活用のあり方や国際的な状況などを議論しあう場で、アカデミアだけでなく、産業界からも同じぐらい参加者が多いという医療界の常識からいうと変わった学会です（むしろ産業界が多いかもしれません）。

来年は、東大で行うことが決まりましたが、医療界では常識的なことが他の分野では結構違うことがありますね。今後の日本の将来という点では、是非興味をこの分野にもお持ちください。
