小児科医、過労死認定される＝＝過酷な労働でついに過労死へ・・・＝＝

士別市の公立病院と富良野市内の民間病院に勤務していた小児科医師が突然死したのは過労が原因だとして、北海道労働局は男性医師を過労死と認定しました。

死亡した男性小児科医は、2002年10月から2003年7月まで道北の市立士別病院に勤務していて、月の平均時間外勤務が100時間を超えていました。

小児科医はその後富良野市内の民間病院に移りましたが、勤務して6日目に突然死しました。

医師は、死亡する前の5日間で32時間の時間外勤務をしていました。

北海道労働局では小児科医の突然死は過酷な労働が原因だったとして先月に過労死と認定しました。

 (遺族の代理人･高崎暢弁護士)｢医師の労働実態が明らかになったという意味で意義がある｣ （2007年2月23日(金)「ニュースＤ」札幌テレビ）

 

医師の過剰労働が社会問題になっている時に、すでに３年以上前の過酷な勤務状態にたして、労働基準局が「過労死」として認定しました。

これは、「過労死」された本人と御家族に対して、せめてもの償いではないでしょうか。

さらに、今回の認定を通して、過酷な医師の労働実態がさらに社会的にも明らかになることにも大きな意義があります。

今まで、多くの医療従事者が訴えているように、医師の過剰労働の原因は、絶対的な医師不足によるものです。

そして、それを放置するどころか、歴史的に医師養成を削減してきた、政府・厚労省の責任は逃れることは出来ません。

今こそ、医師数を削減しょうとしてきた「低医療費政策」にきっぱりと別れを告げ、「医療費増加政策」へ歩み出さなければなりません。

全く、その通りですね。
財務省主導の医療政策など要りません。
この認定が切っ掛けになれば、いいのですが。
ただ、市立士別病院での過労に対しては、認定されていないようです。困ったものです。
