おかだ違い

　外来で「○○さん」と呼び込んだら、違う人（同姓の人やよく似た苗字（たとえば「かとう」と「さとう」）の人）が診察室に入ってくる、はよくある話です。フルネームで呼んでも違う人が返事する、もまたよくある話です。入院患者には名前を印字したリストバンドをつけてもらって誤認防止策とする病院もありますが、これまた、人を間違えるときに限ってリストバンドの確認を忘れるんですよね。

　私は、高校のとき、体育での一学期の通知表の成績がどうも納得いかなかったので教師に確認に行ったことがあります。すると同姓のもう一人の「おかだ」と勘違いされていたのでした。で、１学期の通知表は「２」だったのが２学期には突然「４」になってました。同じことをやっているのに成績はなんと倍増です。ただ１学期の成績の訂正はありませんでしたが。
　ほとんど毎日顔をつきあわせていても、こうやって「誤認」はあるわけで、だから「顔パス」はダメです。名前を呼ぶのも、同姓同名や聞き間違いや勘違いや思いこみがあって、誤認は常にあり得ます。
　だったらどうしたらいいのでしょう。指紋認証でも取り入れます？　　診察室に入ったらまず「○○さんですね、指でここを押さえて下さい」と個人認証をする……指紋という個人データを病院が持って良いのか、という議論が起きそうですね。患者は犯罪者ではないのですから。さてさて、どうしたものか。

私もよくある＆聞き間違いやすい苗字なので、恥ずかしい思いをしたこともありますね(^_^;)
病院などでの患者間違いは確かに怖いです・・・。
