― Touch the Surface Gently ―
かなり以前から日本では、清涼飲料水、タバコなどのコイン式自動販売機、駅の自動発券機は多くの人々に受け入れられて、年齢に関係なく誰でも使えるようになっています。押しボタンを押すだけでいいの。
その後、銀行にＡＴＭが導入され、やや面倒なアルゴリズムの流れのタッチパネル方式に高齢者の間に戸惑いが広がりました。
高齢者は徐々にＡＴＭに慣れてきましたが、まだATMの前に立つと不安を感じる少数の高齢者がいます。
いま、外食産業では、サービススタッフを充実する代わりに、各テーブル毎にタッチパネルでオーダーできるシステムを導入するところがあります。
この厳しい不況にあって、なぜ今、タッチパネルなのん？

- TOUCH A PANEL GENTLY –
It was a long time ago that Japanese people regardless of their age had accepted coin-operated vending machines of soft drink and cigarettes or ticket machines in railway stations. All we need to do is push the button.
Later the major banks introduced ATMs throughout the country, when most of the elderly felt embarrassed by the touch-panel system with a bit complicated algorithmic flowchart.
They have gradually come to make free use of ATMs, except only a minority who really feel uneasy in front of it.
Nowadays some first-food industries are introducing touch-panel system to take customers’ orders at each table instead of providing enough serving staff.
Why do they want a touch-panel now in severe business slowdown?
