「オイルの神秘」
ほらっ！何だと思う？
何?
これはね。モロッコで売られているアルガンオイルというバージンオイルよ。。
何に使うの？
サラダのドレッシングとかに。
いい臭いね。
ほかにもお肉とか魚にも。そのままパンにつけたり。

このオイルは、年中雨が降らないモロッコの南西特有のアルガニアという学名の「アルガン」の木の実から抽出される。アルガンの木は干ばつや半砂漠の土でも約200年生きる。近年、絶滅の危機に瀕して、絶滅危惧種とされユネスコの保護下にある。
このオイルは年間の生産量が少なく世界で最も希少なオイルである。1リットルのオイルを作るのに、一つの木になる実を全部使う。
このオイルはビタミンEと必須脂肪酸が多く、顔のマッサージや化粧クリームの材料にも使われている。
2007年の例で言うと、アイルランドの23歳の男性が、顔や頭皮など体の85%が乾癬にかかっていたが、アルガンオイルを試したところ、数時間で痒みが消え、4週間後には、頭皮は完全にきれいに治り、病変は最終的に40％まで減少し、痒みもないという。
他にも、蕁麻疹の24歳の女性の例がある。アルガンオイルは同じように効果があった。彼女は、辛い人生が変わったと言う。。。

B: For what?
A: It’s used in cooking as a dressing on salads.
B: What a pleasant aroma!
A: Or else, on meat or fish, and simply as a dip for bread.

Argan oil is extracted from the nuts of the Argan tree - a species Argania endemic to southwestern Morocco which has small amount of rain and severe drought or desert throughout the year. The Argan tree lives wild against drought or in semi-desert soil as long as 200 years. Being headed for extinction, it has been specified as endangered and under protection of UNESCO in recent years.
This oil is one of the rarest oils in the world due to small amount of annual produce.
To make only one liter of oil, whole the nuts from a single tree are treated.
This oil, rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, is also used for facial massage and an ingredient of cosmetic cream. For example reported in 2007, an Irish 23-year-old man suffering from Psoriasis which covers almost 85% of his body including his face and scalp skin tried Argan oil. Itch had stopped within few hours. Four weeks later he had found his skin of scalp had all cleared up and the diseased area finally decreased to 40% of his body with no itch.
There’s another case of a woman aged 24 who had urticaria. Argan oil was similarly effective. She said that her bitter life had changed dramatically...
B: Hold on. You go too far. Why do you keep on speaking highly of it?
A: I don’t see why. As they say, brand-conscious people are chasing something new anytime. Why don’t you try it.
B: I doubt it.
A: Why not? It contains a plenty of vitamin E and oleic acids.
