「ある愛の詩」

 　

　

―It sounds among patterns of love―

  それも愛のかたちかもしれない。

 　

　

 　

　

「は～い。血圧ですよ~。」

 　

やさし～くね？

腕をまくるときは、そろーっと。

急がずに。

左手でご老人の手首をそっと持って、

袖をやさしくまくります。

 　

そして、そろーっと、

マンシェットを肘より上に巻きます。

ギュッと勢いをつけたりしたらいけません。

 　

いいですかー。

そろーっと。

血圧の空気もしゅしゅしゅって、

一気に150ｍｍHgまで圧力をかけてはいけません。

ゆっく～りあげて行きます。

 　

易しいことです、

これは、ささやかな「優しさ」です。

誰にでもできることです。職業人なら。

 　

どんな時も、やさしく、ていねいに。

こまやかに。です。

誰にでもできることです。医療人なら。

 　

 　

　　　？

 　

でも、そーしたことはどうでもいい御家族もおられるようです。

 　

もっと大切なものがあるようです。

きちんと、ムダなく、正確に。

勘定もびた一文間違えず。時間もきっちり。

病状説明も食い入るように聞いてメモをします。

薬の名前も、のみ方も、副作用も、ご本人の100倍知っています。

病気のことも、風呂にお入れするやり方も。

たいへん、熱心です。

 　

これを「愛」と言わずして一体何でしょう。

 　

自分を育ててくれた父親です。

高齢になっても、病気になっても、必死で守り抜こうとしています。

 　

これを「愛」と言わずして一体何でしょう。

では、目も見えず、話もできなくなったご老人の「愛され方」をご覧ください。

 　

息子：「おい。右だ！右！」

ご老人：「。。。」

「ほら！立て！」

「。。。」

「いつものスリッパだ！」

「。。。」

「そっちじゃない！こっちだ！」

「。。。」

「ところで。せんせ。このお尻の傷なんですけどね。小さくて気がつかなかったんです。治りますよね。昨日、絆創膏を貼っておいたんです。診て下さい。ちょっと心配で。」

　 

息子：「おい。足はそっちだ！せんせーが見えないじゃないか！」（パン！：軽く足を手のひらでたたく音。）

ご老人：「。。。」

 　

いったいどのような育ち方をすると、こーなるのか。。。わたしはわかりません。

 

でも、一生懸命です。外来受診の送り迎え。たいへん熱心です。この前、息子さんは、新しい車を買いました。ピカピカの車です。車イスのままご老人を乗せることのできる、新兵器です。車いすも買いました。エコです。最新の電動式です。とてもきれいに使っています。

いつもオシメを欠かさず、車に常備しています。

 　

ご老人は、たいへん清潔に保たれて、さぞ快適なはずです。

ほかに傷一つあるわけではございません。

このような惜しみない「愛」に出会うたびに思います。

　　 

これも愛のひとつの形かもしれないと。
