しみる感じ stinging (チクチクした感じ、刺すような感じ)が点眼後、一時的によくみられるようですが、主要な薬品で鎮痛効果等が認められています。
（但し、国内で販売されていない薬品あり。国内で販売されている全薬品に関しての評価は不明。また、国内では鎮痛目的で処方することは「適応外処方」となる。）
