Kimura disease is a rare form of chronic inflammatory disorder of East Asian males, involving subcutaneous tissue, predominantly in the head and neck region and frequently associated with regional lymphadenopathy and/or salivary gland involvement.
Consistent histologic features were follicular hyperplasia, eosinophilic infiltrates, and proliferation of postcapillary venules.
In cntrast, angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia occurs in all races and is characterized by generally smaller and more superficial lesions. Eosinophilia is common to both conditions, which are of unknown origin.
唾液腺腫脹を伴うIgG4関連硬化性疾患に好酸球増多を伴うことがあるとした場合、木村病の鑑別診断にgG4関連疾患もあげる必要がある。
