Treatment for mild to moderate renal tubular acidosis consists of supplementation with potassium chloride (塩化カリウム)and alkalinization with potassium citrate(クエン酸カリウム).
For cases resistant to replacement therapy or demonstrating evidence of renal insufficiency, consideration of corticosteroid therapy (0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg) should be given.
