知っておいてほしい言葉、事、人、出来事等（7）：ジュネーブ宣言

・明日は、当院の全体学習で、私が医療倫理の話をします。これで、当分職員さんとはお別れです。ということで、今回は、前回に続いて医療倫理関係のはなし。

・ヘルシンキ宣言が、「ヒトを対象とする医学研究の倫理的原則」なのにたいし、ジュネーブ宣言は、医の倫理に関する規定であり、ヒポクラテスの誓いの倫理的精神を現代化・公式化したものである

 医師の一人として参加するに際し、
・ 私は、人類への奉仕に自分の人生を捧げることを厳粛に誓う。
・ 私は、私の教師に、当然受けるべきである尊敬と感謝の念を捧げる。
・ 私は、良心と尊厳をもって私の専門職を実践する。
・ 私の患者の健康を私の第一の関心事とする。
・ 私は、私への信頼のゆえに知り得た患者の秘密を、たとえその死後においても尊重する。
・ 私は、全力を尽くして医師専門職の名誉と高貴なる伝統を保持する。
・ 私の同僚は、私の兄弟姉妹である。
・ 私は、私の医師としての職責と患者との間に、年齢、疾病もしくは障害、信条、民族的起源、ジェンダー、国籍、所属政治団体、人種、性的志向、社会的地位あるいはその他どのような要因でも、そのようなことに対する配慮が介在することを容認しない。
・ 私は、人命を最大限に尊重し続ける。
・私は、たとえ脅迫の下であっても、人権や国民の自由を犯すために、自分の医学的知識を利用することはしない。
・ 私は、自由に名誉にかけてこれらのことを厳粛に誓う。

 

・日本語訳の最初の、「医師の一人として参加するに際し」という文章が、なんか分かりにくいですね。英語では、

AT THE TIME OF BEING ADMITTED AS A MEMBER OF THE MEDICAL　PROFESSION

です。「医療専門職となるにあたって」という訳じゃだめですかね？admitという単語に色々意味があって、訳しにくいですね。

・「テロとの戦い」とか、なんとか言って、人権が脅かされている昨今、医療従事者は、誠実に「私は、たとえ脅迫の下であっても、人権や国民の自由を犯すために、自分の医学的知識を利用することはしない。」という立場を堅持してほしいと思うし、自分がそうありたいと思います。

  

以下日記

・本日の外来は、ホント多かった。予約の患者さんを１時間以上待たしてしまいました。申し訳ない。でも、「ややこしい」（その人の性格でなく、病気が）患者さんが何人も予約以外で受診するんだもの。「許して、ヒヤシンス。」（この最後の言葉の出典が分かる人は、ただものではないぞ）・・・こんなに、またしても怒らない患者さん、ありがたいことですタイ。

・外来後も会議が二つ連ちゃん、退院の処理やＬＴＯＴ、ＮＩＰＰＶの指示等、大忙し。そして、外来の患者さんの申し送りを書いて、気がつけば、１９時３０分。久々に、あることに没頭して、時間が過ぎるのを忘れておりました。（若いころは、よくこういうことがあったなと、懐かしく思う。内科学会の認定のためにサマリーまとめていたら、夜中の２時だったということも思い出しました。走馬灯のように・・・死期が近いかな？）
