マイ手帳大賞No.８：早期診断，早期絶望？

・月刊介護保険という雑誌があります。その2008年10月号No.152に「第55回取材ノートから」というＡ４１ページの読み物（ＮＨＫチーフ・プロデューサー小宮英美）の標題が、「早期診断、早期絶望？」でした。その書き出しが「最近、認知症の世界は医療モデルが盛んです。」で始まっています。そして、（中略）「「診断さえつけば、あとはどうにでもなる」といわんばかりの最近の風潮はとても気になります」と書かれています。・・・「とくに、そのあとに有効な支援策がないまま、「あなたは認知症」という診断結果だけ宣告されると、人はパニックに陥ります。それなら診断されないほうがマシという人さえいます。診断する以上、「あなたをこうして支えるから、一緒にがんばりましょう」「支援者を紹介します」という言葉がないと、人は絶望してしまいます。」

・べつに認知症に限らず、治療法のない疾患を早期に診断しても何になるんだ、ただ患者さんに負担をかけるだけという議論は、色んな疾患でありえると思います。そこで、大切なのは、アナタを支えますということでしょうね。医療は、治す（cure）のみでなく、支えることも大切ですね。

・はなし、かわって、その雑誌の冒頭に「体感テレビゲームの可能性」という記事がありました。最初の文章が「最新テレビゲームを介護現場に導入して、高齢者の身体・精神状態を改善しようする試みが着実に広がっている」とあり、おばあちゃんがラケットをもって、大型ＴＶの前に立っている写真が載っております。記事は、「ザビックスほっとプラス」という介護施設への可否だ視する、体感ＴＶゲームの紹介でした。ボウリングやモグラたたき、やぶさめ、玉いれ等いろんなゲームが出来そうです。

・私が、実際もっと年をとって通所サービスを受ける場合、お遊戯のようなプログラムだったら絶対行かないでしょう。そばやうどんの手打ちや、陶芸、将棋、囲碁ならいくかもしれませんが...しかし、介護サービスでバーチャルリアリティーがあれば、きっと楽しみで行くでしょう。今からでも、やってみたい気がします。今からすぐにでも、うちでも導入したい気がします。問題はいつも、「先立つもの」です。

・今日は三女の誕生日。紙袋の中に本や、リラックマのファイル、消しゴム、ぷーさんのポストイット、本等パックにしてプレゼント。その中で、図書カードもいれておきましたが、それを見たときの三女のやったーというような嬉しそうな顔。きっと、これで好きな漫画が買えると思ったのでしょう。ああいう表情されると、プレゼントしてよかったなと思いますね。

えらい娘さんですね。

うちは次女に昨日ホッピングとかいう両足をのせてぴょんぴょん飛び跳ねるおもちゃを要望どおり買ってやりましたが、その後もわがままばかり言うし、最後には家のワンコまでおもちゃのように扱うので嫁も小生も1回ずつ大泣きするまで怒りました。あーあ....
