マイ手帳大賞No.5：壁を築くよりも橋を架けよ

・最近東京や横浜への出張は、飛行機とホテルのパックを利用しています。∵安いから。飛行機はもっぱらＡＮＡを利用しております。ＡＮＡには、『翼の王国』という雑誌が座席におかれています。いつもパラパラと見るのですが、結構面白いです。今回2008年9月号No.471を見ましたが、大阪の食堂の紹介があり、今度行ってやろうと思いましたね。あと、「今様竹林七賢」というエッセイで、「ＥＤＳ竹デザイン・プロジェクト」というのがあるのを知りました。竹を用いた構造物、家具、用品などプロトタイプを製作するとのこと。私も以前より竹をもっともっと利用できないか、いや、きっとそれを考えて、実行している人たちがいるだろうと思っていましたが、然りでした。

・さて、標題の言葉は、「ことばは自在に旅をする」というエッセイにありました。「壁を築くよりも橋を架けよ」スワヒリ語のことわざだそうです。これは、人と人、また、国と国にいえることだなと思いました。

竹で壁や柱や大方の骨組みを構成する建築の紹介をテレビで見たことがあり感動しました。きちんと作るとものすごい強度があるようです。

荒れ果てた山林の管理もきちんとできて、林業も再生していいことづくめなんでしょうけど。

維持費制作費は高いでしょうねえ。でもそういう産業をこれからの日本の主力産業（お金持ちの外国への輸出も含めて）にすべきではないかと思いますが。（参考文献：奴属国家　日本の岐路）
