今日（6/29）は、何の日。

・先日書きました様に、本日はクボタショック３周年です。石綿問題でつくづく思うのは、産業医学と臨床医学の、そして、医学と社会の乖離です。

・25年以上前に石綿の本を読み、その中で石綿作業者の作業服をお家で洗っていた奥さんが石綿関連疾患（中皮腫だったと思いますが）になったということは知っていました。クボタショック後マスコミが、日本でのこういった事例を報道した時、はじめは「何をいまさら」という感じを持ちました。しかし、そういうとこと知っていたものが、何も発信しなかったことは反省すべきではないかと考え直しました。産業医学と臨床医学に乖離があるなら、それに気がついたものが埋めなければならない。また、医学と社会に乖離があればそれを埋めないといけないと。私は、とくに研究者でもなく、大学の教員でもなく、行政官でもなく、ただの田舎の小さい病院の臨床医ですが、何らかの形で社会に発信できればよいと考えています・・・このブログが、とりあえずの行動です。

・全く、はなし変わって、1900年6月29日、星の王子様の作者のサン・テグジュペリが生まれた日です。それに関してつい最近、かれがドイツの戦闘機に撃墜されていたという記事を読みました。その打ち落とした操縦士のコメントが悲しいものでした。戦争の悲劇を感じます。

もとの新聞記事が検索できなかったので、以下のブログから引用します。

サン・テグジュペリが乗っていた機を「撃墜した」と証言したのは、ホルスト・リッペルトさん（８８）。４４年７月３１日、メッサーシュミット機で南仏ミルを飛び立ち、トゥーロン上空でマルセイユ方向へ向かって飛んでいる敵軍機を約３キロ下方に発見。「敵機が立ち去らないなら撃つしかない」と攻撃を決意。「弾は命中し、傷ついた敵機は海へ真っ逆さまに落ちていった。操縦士は見えなかった」と回想。

敵機の操縦士がサン・テグジュペリだったことは、数日後になって知ったとのことです。リッペルトさんは、「あの操縦士が彼でなかったらと、ずっと願い続けてきた。彼の作品は小さいころ誰もが読んで、みんな大好きだった。彼だと知っていたら、撃たなかった。」と語っているとのことです。
