・先日カドミウムのことを書きしましたが、そこで、Cdが嗅覚障害を起こすとかきました。その他嗅覚障害を起こす職業・環境因子を調べてみました。

という項目に以下のような記述があります。
Exposure to toxic agents, tobacco, and drugs may cause olfactory dysfunction: methacrylate vapors, ammonia, benzene, cadmium dust, chromate, formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, nickel dust, solvents, and sulfuric acid are some of the agents implicated in occupational exposure situations . Welders working in confined spaces have been found to have decreased olfactory sensation, though the cause for this is unknown and not related to any change in neurologic or neuropsychological test performance .
