ラレックスアレルギー

・2008年最初の話題はラテックスでいきたいと思います。

・医療従事者の健康問題を扱う場合、職業感染、メンタルヘルス、筋骨格系疾患等重要な課題と思います。加えて、最近は患者・家族からの暴力・暴言も大切な課題でしょう。そういった中で、ラテックスアレルギーも「隠れた」（？）というか、じつは、どこでもあるけど、まだまだ対策不十分な課題ではないでしょうか？

・私が、ラテックスアレルギーを重要な問題と認識したのは、たぶん今から10年くらい前の英語の論文or Newsでした。その中で、外科の手術中、産婦人科の診察中(内診）に患者さんがショックを起こした事例があり、その原因として医師のラレックスの手袋のせい（ラレックスアレルギー・アナフィラキシー）とかかれてありました。そのとき、外科、婦人科、麻酔科のDr.がどの程度認識しているのかなと、素朴な疑問を持ちました。以後、時々ラテックスアレルギーに関して、勉強していました。

・ラテックスについて：『ラテックスアレルギーのすべて　安全対策ガイドライン準拠』（松永佳世子編集。秀潤社。2007年3月）より引用

ラテックスとは本来、ゴムの木から採取される白色乳状の液体のことを指していたが、合成ゴムの開発により水性媒体の中に高分子物質が安定して分散している液体を全般的に指すようになった。そのため合成ゴムであるＳＢＲラテックス、ＢＲラテックスなどと、本来の天然ゴムから採取されたものを区別するため、天然ゴムラテックス（natural rubber latex: NRL）と呼んでいる。

個人的には、上記の定義をみて、長年の疑問が氷解しました。私はラテックスを上記でいうＮＲＬと理解していたのですが、文献見ているとどうも話が合わないなということがありました。ラテックスという言葉が、広い意味でも使われていたのですね。

・ラテックスアレルギーの症候としては、以下のようなタイプがあります。

①接触蕁麻疹・血管浮腫

②粘膜浮腫

③喘息発作

④鼻炎、結膜炎

⑤アナフィラキシー、アナフィラキシーショック

⑥口腔アレルギー症候群

・記述が長くなりました。これからお出かけするので、本日はこの辺で。
